The fitout design for Sumo Salad Harbour Town was executed by Round Peg Design, and the lighting was supplied by Lumen8. As this was a new concept store, the client wanted a contemporary, moody fitout. Flex-able flex and lamp systems were used for the pendants situated above the area behind the counter, and the copper piping along the walls. These 2700k warm white pendants were used to create ambience, and this creates a soft, warm, cozy environment that's comfortable to be in for extended periods of time; this sort of lighting is known to be preferable for dining, bars and hospitality. For general lighting and food display highlighting, 3000k RAAT 1500 lumen downlights and Lumen8's own LED Logikline profile and strip (in 3000k) range were used. This selection of lights that were used have CRIs of above 80; this shows the true, rich colours of the food and makes them look more appetising.
